Another preemptive: the Nazis were NOT socialists; they put that word in the name of their party to attract people to the party. They were fascists. And, yes, Communists (not necessarily socialists) have done a lot of evil too.
I almost put that in the preemptive stuff. Anyone can be a fascist - and many of them still do the 'white power' gesture. They probably call him 'one of the good ones'.
