The dragon climbed in and curled up to sleep in the seemingly abandoned giant nest. When the wise, old Phoenix got back from hunting for the day and found the dragon in her home, she didn’t seem angry. She sat on the side of her nest and shielded frigid with her wing, providing protection and camouflage from any would-be predators. When frigid woke up the next morning, the large motherly bird looked into the sleepy dragon’s eyes, seemingly telling her everything was ok. The two started to form a bond, Terixa, the Phoenix acting as the mother frigid never has. Terixa thought frigid how to properly hunt, how to fly, and most importantly, how to speak. For the next couple billion years, they lived together, the best of friends. Terixa didn’t mind the company of the younger being at all, and frigid was happy to have someone who truly cared for her. This all changed when humans came along. The sounds of axes and the smell of sawdust filled the air. Terixa told frigid to stay in the nest and she would figure out what was happening. When Terixa didn’t return, frigid set out on her own. Two days into her search, frigid found the body of the huge bird, tattered and torn, rotting in the forest floor. Many Spears were plunged through her body, and bullet holes dotted her face. From that moment on, frigid lost all of her compassion. Whenever she found humans, she devoured them, ripped them to shreds, and tormented them. She hated most all other beings. She would never get over what they did to her friend, her mentor, her Terixa. She vowed revenge and she became the villain of the stories. She was the one who destroyed entire planets and the colossal beast the size of universes. No one showed compassion to her. It was all her fault. No one else would take the blame, so she took it for herself.
