The new year is a time to lose old klingons(habits,religions,customs),
as in 'Auld lang syne', the first word 'should' is a suggestion:; "Should Old Acquaintance be forgot,
and never thought upon;
The flames of Love extinguished,
and fully past and gone:
Is thy sweet Heart now grown so cold,
that loving Breast of thine;
That thou canst never once reflect
On old long syne."; It seems that only the Brits act as if this is a time to hold arms even with strangers and radiate sentimentality. Auld Lang Syne attributed to Robert Burns.
