First off, the horizon line. I see that you made a line under their feet, but their shadow is seemingly floating, and behind that there's some mountains. Tell me what you were trying to go ofr, in case any of this is incorrect.

So, I was basically trying to put the person at the base of the mountain range, with the large, Saturn like planet in the distance

About those planets! They're great. I love em'. 8/10 on those planets.
Okay, see I thought that. One thing to do, move up that line they're standing on a ton. Moving the mountains down and making them larger would also help.

They're just standing. There's no expressiveness. A better pose would be to have his arms up a bit and his legs spread out more, to create more of a "oh what the fuc k why am I stuck on this planet !? " kinda feel, you know?
