First things first, you want to click a square.
You will see numbers, and those numbers represent how many mines are around it.
You want to avoid all the mines, so don't click any squares in which you think a mine is there.
Right click a square to place a marker; a marker marks where you think a mine is. You can always remove a marker by right clicking it.
