About 50 years ago, the Air Force was created because the army had become kind of schizophrenic trying to manage air and land. Space had become such a large burden on the air force that it makes sense to make it its own thing now. That doesn't mean your meme isn't funny as shit, though! Once I heard the designation for space force personnel, I suspect that there's some general waiting to change it to Galaxy Force, so he can think he's a guardian of the galaxy.
