This doesn't make any sense though (or I'm obtuse, could be either, lol)...the 'we'll love them no matter what' means they won't just emotionally or physically abandon a child of one physical gender or the other, as many people do sadly.
riht, it's just the whole, "we'll love them no matter wht gender it turns out to be" and then when they find out the the person is trans they get all upset about it, contradicting what they said when they first had the baby
