If they aren’t directly in the center they are faking, when you do medbay scan it makes you go in the center. Also if they are moving around a lot trying to get center then they are faking.

In all of my experience the magnet effect pulls you straight to the center. Just because I could be wrong doesn’t mean you have to be so mean about it

75% of the time on Mira
30% of the time on polus

there's this little walking movement that you get onto the scan with. it's slower-ish than normal walking, and an automatic function if you are a couple steps away from the scanner. it also kinda adjusts if you're already on the scanner but not quite situated.

So, say they are on the scanning thing. You come in and decide to do it. If they were actually doing it, you wouldn't see your body stats on the black screen. If they were faking it, it would go through the regular procedure of showing your body stats.

If they were faking, you could just hop on the scanner.

If it's real you would get a message at the bottom of the screen saying "waiting for (their name here)"
