I guess I don't really think of memeing as a moral decision. It's more of a recreation. Maybe there's a certain unfairness about just trying to rack up points without much effort and being successful over a person who is really trying to be clever. In the end memes don't really matter in the larger scheme of things. Great question!

I personally just don't like when they get frontpage, I mean all they ask for is points, the site's made for memes, not trying to get as many points as possible, and when they get frontpage there's some really good memes that could be in it's spot.

Like sure, I used to upvote beg but then realized I should stop.

it's just asking for upvotes, so as long as it's not aggressive I don't see what's wrong with upvote begging beside the fact that it's annoying
