It is possible on Xbox (That is, Xbox One. Xbox 360 is pretty outdated, I doubt Crimson even exists on it.), that's what I play on. Here are the steps.
1) Go onto your character and instead of going onto your current Crimson world, click the "New World" option.
2) Create your new world with your preferences and be sure to select "Corruption." I'd also recommend creating a large world, this will give more world resources, and is better for long-term worlds.
2.5) I get the impression that you are new to this game, so I'd recommend not choosing expert mode. It buffs enemies by 50%, including bosses. It gives extra drops from bosses, also, but I'd stick with normal mode for now.
3) Load your new world, and here's the best part: YOU STILL HAVE YOUR ITEMS!!! Now gather some chests and dump your extra stuff into there, then go back into your Crimson world and gather everything you want for your new world. (Note: You won't need any Crimson drops, like Vertebrae, Tissue Samples, etc. There are Corruption variants, and these won't work in a Corruption world.)
That's it!
As for surviving the fall in your "Hellevator," as we call it, find some gravitation potions (in chests scattered throughout the world) and look for islands in the sky. When you find one, see if it has a little house there. If it does, open it's chest (it should have one) and look for "Lucky Horseshoe." This will negate all fall damage!
A great source for helping you on your way is the Terraria Wiki
( https://terraria.gamepedia.com/Terraria_Wiki ) This REALLY helped me grind to beat Moon Lord, and has every factoid you could ever need on your way.
Let me know if there is anything else you need, and please tell me how you do in your new world. Be sure to use the Wiki, it will be your lifesaver!
