a egg cant grow if somethings not heating it. and a chickens body is hotter than a lot of other animals bodies so it would have to be chicken.

let us say there was some slightly different kind of chicken, we will call it the proto-chicken. it laid an egg with some genetic mutations that gave us what we call the chicken today. to answer how it will mate, it's altered genes would have had to be dominant then it would mate with a proto chicken to produce more chickens. thank you for coming to my TED Talk
