Here's a hint... Canadian politicians from every party recognized this to be a major health issue - not something to be polticized - and united on deferring to medical experts to set national protocals, which citizens largely embraced.

"As long as they are people dying that disagree with me, I am really happy about it. ". Do you even hear yourself?

I don't have feelings, kid. I just know the river of piss that would spout out of you and your kind if a conservative posted something similar.

The US is the only country in the world that reports when people die "With" Covid. Everywhere else reports when people die "From" Covid. That's how. Plus, we had an election to win here.

Well, if we went by those numbers and seen that only 10K people died in 8 months from covid alone, we probably would far less divided and Trump would have swept the election.

That's not true. Most countries around the world follow the same WHO guidelines as the US for how deaths should be classified and documented. In cases where Covid is present, it will appear on the death certificate as an underlying cause that contributed to the death, along with all other co-morbitie that may exist.

Doesn't New York have the highest case/death rate in the country at like 40% or something?

Yea I am pretty sure, New York, Mass. and Jersey are far from conservative republican states.. https://fee.org/articles/3-states-account-for-42-percent-of-all-covid-19-deaths-in-america-why/

Yes that is true, but we were talking about political affiliations with the states , not the physical dynamics. Seeing New York is the most highly populated states and Solid Blue one would think stricter guidelines would have been implemented by the governor and it would have been one of the safest states, if we are going by who is in charge and covid cases.

Because Coronavirus is a highly contagious virus . And since spread rates are similar across the board , I doubt who is in charge would make any kind of difference in its spread . I think it has to take its natural course and vaccinations have to be taken by the public. Lock downs and denying people the right to work is not helping anything.

Since it wont let me respond to your posts anymore, I will end it here saying I agree with you that the leaders should be an example and strictly follow the safety protocols they set. I would be far more willing to follow them ( though I do ) more so and I believe more Americans would as well.

Doesn't matter what policies are in place if people in general do not follow them. Including the leaders that shout edicts of control while not following their own guidelines.

Well I mean that's a lot of land with not that many people.

Lots of land but most of it's uninhabitable. That's why 86% of the population live within 100 km of the US border.

You should look at Elon Musks COVID tests.

What does that even mean and how does it relate to the vast majority of Canadians living close to the US border?
