I want to give you the benefit of the doubt here.

You realize they are saying the mathematics industry has the same racial bias that other industries have?

At no point in this article does anyone claim that math itself is discriminatory.

I think you read the headline instead of the article, but you'll have to tell me. What about this article, makes you think math itself is discriminatory? Is there a quote you can pull to help me understand your thought process here?

They specifically are asking mathematicians to have conversations about reducing or removing prejudice. Conversations aren't maths.

See direct quote above, mathematics organization is saying the mathematics community needs to address race and racism.

They are not claiming that maths itself has racial bias.
