Technically Chickens do still fly, it's only capable of 15ft.. same as Turkey's.
They also use them for stability purposes.
Also vegans don't use milk and a cow without a calf don't need milk.. a vegan doesn't eat eggs and an infertile egg is kind of useless.
For vegans, it's not about what's needed, it's more to do with Animal based products.

I spent a year living on a farm when young, also done some farmhand work when I got older.
