The Weeknd's award show run continues! On Sunday, The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, showed up to the American Music Awards to accept the Favorite Album award for After Hours and perform two songs—and in an escalation from the bloody-face look he's been wearing for months (see more details about that below), The Weeknd wore bandages all around his face, jaw, and head, which is...alarming, if you didn't know that he's totally fine (promise!). His bloodied and bandaged look has been a thing since March, and he wore it to the Video Music Awards in August, too. It's a reference to both Blinding Lights and his album After Hours in general, and you can expect him to continue wearing the stage makeup and bandages for as long as he's promoting and accepting awards for that album.
