We should have beaten the Taliban by 2005 at the latest...we had a unified country, a sympathetic globe, and enough of a military presence to turn Afghanistan into the 51st U.S state. The fact we're still here at all and walking away from the Taliban, rather than showing the world the consequences of massacring U.S civilians, is embarrassing.
