Except Pfizer DIDN'T take federal funds to do their research. They did take an order to supply if they developed one, as many companies did with numerous governments, but didn't take any government funds for research and development.
I take your point that what the president probably meant (or should have meant) in his tweet was that his administration's POLICIES helped bring about the vaccine. But maybe you should be angry at him for phrasing it to say that his administration PRODUCED the vaccine, instead of me for pointing it out.
In relation to your claim that if it were up to Biden and the Dems you wouldn't see a vaccine for 4 years; all politics aside, can I ask what that estimate is based on?
Is it based on:
a )the president said so,
b) I don't like Democrats, or
c) some specific knowledge of the policies and how Pfizer operates under different governments
Without trying to sound condescending, do you honestly believe that a huge multinational pharmaceutical company like Pfizer, with something like a vaccine for Covid, would have done anything differently whether Donald Trump, another Republican (look at his tweet again) or a Democrat was the President? Honestly? What would make it take 4 years if anyone but Donald Trump was President.
