I've actually attempted rescuing a baby squirrel that was abandoned and had fallen a good 15-20 yards from a tree. We named him Will because it obviously had the will to live. It survived 6 days off of puppy milk and sugar water, but the milk was too thick and gave him digestive problems. He died after 6 days of caring for him. We buried him beneath a young Douglas fir that we had planted, and call it "Will's Tree"
