If Trump is doing it, then Biden and those before and after him, call it whatever you want. The point of the meme was to make it sound like Biden was pulling a fast one when, really, he's just doing what it tradition (formal or not).

I hear the arguments, I see the pictures.
Any one using it is pulling a fast one really, but when combined with the premature call of President elect this is why it is being looked upon as pulling a fast one. Whether the meme means to push the fake aspect or not is open to debate but i'm not interested in that.
When/if biden is officially called The President Elect I'm sure this will all go away very quickly.
So I'm not going to get too bothered what anyone wants to believe and neither should you. It will be forgotten before too long.

Biden is officially called the President-elect. The democratic minority of voters on the losing side, nor the candidate who lost, gets the make that call. The winners did, it was called the democratic majority of American voters.
