This meme is mostly a demonstration that the vicious devaluing of the new games by classic fans, and the old games by 343 fans might eventually lead to the entire series being devalued for everyone. Something of a cautionary tale, though I do think that criticism is perfectly fine and the classic games hold up in many ways when scrutinized, as do 343's in their own ways.
