The imposter is a shape shifting alien and apparently the devs says "there is no such thing as winning in among us against the imposter, you always lose" and that's because the alien spreads to the crewmates HQ and other areas which means no matter what you are still bringing that alien with you. That's why there is so many numbers of imposters and that's also why it's a replayable game
