Do you know why any prior pandemic went away? The Spanish flu for example, how did it go away without a cure? Scientist don't know. Over time they just disappear miraculously. If I'm wrong, send the story explain scientifically why prior pandemics disappeared without a cure.

Sir with all due respect I am here to make a meme for my grade 10 English class. Although your response is factual I feel like memes are made for the sake of fun, and to entertain others while trying to tell a story. My assignment was to make 3 memes that relate to world issue, good or bad. This meme is supposed to display the worry and distress some people have when a leader makes such a bold claim. Sir, when you mention that the pandemic is going to go away miraculously the first thoughts I have about you is that you don't appreciate that front line workers who are risking their lives to save/help people in need like me and you. The second thought that crosses my mind is that you are a Trump supporter that believes in his conspiracy theories. I am sorry to say sir, but you are an ignorant, selfish, and a non-appreciative person. People like you make this world suck I am sorry to say.

Thank you for the respectable reply. I'll do the same. Memes are fun, but they also are used to convey information and persuade people. This can be extremely dangerous if there is "mis-information" around election time. Just 2 weeks before the election you are bashing the President of the United States and you are questioning his covid comments. If you picked something he said that was inaccurate, I would not have replied. But, you picked something that is not inaccurate. We don't know why pandemics go away. Science and experts have not been able to explain why they go away. Leaders for the WHO and CDC have said publicly that they don't know why. What you are doing is criticizing the President in public because he doesn't know something that no one knows. You imply with your meme that he should know better, but, no one knows so how could he know? If your English teacher is on the left, you'll likely get an A. If this was for a teach on the right or a science teacher, you would not do so well because you meme denies science and does not listen to experts.

Thank You. One last quick comment I want to make. So you believe what Trump says is the truth. He is a liar and you know it. Do the covid number look to be in his favour, no. Although there is the Spanish Flu you talk about, there is Covid, and they are no the same virus. So you are right as there is a chance it might go away with the will of God's mercy, but Trump is just making such a bold statement that even his own doctors disagree. I feel like this meme coveys the message that Trump is a liar, and it comes so naturally that he doesn't notice it. He says the virus will miraculously disappear to give hopes to the people of America before the election. Trump is no good in office. This meme is so factual Trump will think its a lie.

I agree it represents the majority view. That view was formed by the mainstream media. But, the view is inaccurate. If you can tell me why the Spanish Flu went away, I'll change my opinion. We never reached 'herd immunity' or developed a vaccine for the Spanish Flu. With time it just went away as all pandemics eventually do. Why? Science hasn't been able to explain this.
