When I was two month in on this site, the meme-cat and milkman thing blew up, so like half the middle school user changed there icon to blue, little did we know that it was a few harassers were also doing it to blend in, but also every single meme had a comment saying save meme cat or join the milkmen. It also broke TOS so they had to stop
But I think the sudden surge is because a lot of users like to use a icon just for them, in the sense if they won’t use any other icon. Personally I think my icon is less of showboating but instead, showing jar far I’ve come, but also how far I have to go
