So this image right here. It says quote unquote "Say goodbye to one of imgflip's biggest assets because they'll delete me.". It's an insult to everyone. Imgflip is a meme site, a community. This may sound harsh and a bit communist, but we all don't matter. On our own, that is. Olymp, a well known global mod? The position of global mod wouldn't mean anything if he was one of the only people on this site. Del, the imgflip bigshot? He would be nothing without his followers & his friends. Dylan, the creator of imgflip? If this site was just him & his friends, it would be nothing. Yeah that's right, the website doesn't matter. All of us do. People get recognized more than other's. Some like it & some don't. But that's what makes the terms "underrated" & "overrated" what they are. At the end of the day, we're all just random people on the internet. No one here has the right to say that the site would be scarred forever without them. No one matters. That's the truth. We all stay positive about it but at the end of the day it's always that answer. Having the audacity to call yourself one of imgflip's biggest assets can cause more destruction than actually being deleted as one of imgflip's biggest assets. It affects some more than others. Heck, some won't even care. But that doesn't mean that people can stay on their imaginary high horse for as long as they want. Everyone here is equal, no matter their status, their followers, or their skills. No one would receive their reputation without other people to build it with. Saying you're one of the building blocks of this community is a lie, because there are no building blocks of this community. The entire community is one big block. We all make what we are. We build our own identities, but they would mean nothing if it wasn't for the people around us to recognize them. Call me a communist, I don't care. At the end of the day my point still stands. Thank you for coming to my TED talk, good night/morning/whatever the time is while you're reading this.
