Ezlo from Zelda minish cap can remember everything we already do after we died, Ness dad can record everyhing anytime Ness party member die, The bosses from Mother 3 know if we die. Even the jealous bass can count how many times we die. And.. Resetti from Animal crossing even also know what we doing if we press reset button in purpose! So, timeline or somthing like that isn't something special. Sans just trying to look cool, but whatever hes doing, he still a big coward crybaby
