This is not normal. None of this is normal.

I find the obsession with trump's lack of "normal"ity problematic. As if conformity to existing norms is what's needed. As if norms are capable of stopping corruption. As if no corruption existed in our institutions prior to trump. As if systemic corruption isn't a thing.

Normal is not a synonym of moral.

I missed the good old ‘normal’ days when corruption was hidden and something to be subjectively ashamed of.

Nowadays, it’s just there in your face and, as a country, most people have become almost numb to it.
