During a battle with omega, pyra sacrifices hersel to save esper from being killed by omega, and she dies. Later Pyra was brought back as a cyborg made my admiral white who esper was forced to kill, then pyra decided to not stay in the afterlife and became a ghost so she could still be around her sister, and esper becomes queen of the flaments.
