Cosmicat

Cosmicats are the direct descendants of the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet. As their name suggests, they live in space and each Cosmicat is assigned a planet to protect once they turn 13. Planets with life are usually guarded by two Cosmicats instead of one. Each colony of Cosmicats lives in a solar system with a royal Cosmicat flying around, making laws, and checking on other Cosmicats to see if everything is ok.

Cosmicats live in hollowed-out asteroids and they eat Cosmic mice and Cosmic birds that also happen to live in space.

The only way to tell a Cosmicat from a Demon cat is that Cosmicats have the symbol of an astral body on their forehead, while Demon cats just have horns.

Demon cats

Demon cats evolved from Cosmicats that were too evil and so they were banished to the underworld. Over time, they split into various clans, each with their own specialty. Demon cats are taught to fight shortly after they're born because clans tend to get in fights with each other. They also go on hunts where they travel to the world of the living for prey.

Each demon cat has the ability to bend fire as well as being resistant to fire, thanks to chemicals in their spit that gets absorbed into their fur when they lick themselves. The rest of the cat's powers are entirely based on which clan they come from. There is also a 1 in 10 chance that a demon cat will be able to summon portals to the world of the living, which comes in handy when there is no prey in the gloomy underworld where they live.
