Between April 12, 2009, and April 10, 2010, the CDC estimates swine flu caused 60.8 million illnesses, 273,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths in the U.S.

Meanwhile, we still haven't reached a full year and we're up to 200k.

Cool strawman.

The difference this time is the Media using the faulty testing to make a mountain out of a molehill . Can we really trust the numbers . I tested positive twice over the course of 5 months . Spent weeks in quarantine with zero symptoms and still don't know if I ever had it .

Well, for starters, I'm pretty sure you can count a person as dead. Those numbers don't lie. Second, the virus seems to have a higher rate of severity with certain blood types. Third, you may not be of an at-risk demographic.

Now to my questions. What media? What faulty testing? 200k deaths vs 12k deaths in a year is not a molehill, that's quite a large difference by nearly a factor of 20.

If the tests are only 50% accurate how do we know who died for what reason ? To quote another meme "Corona virus : a disease so deadly you'll never know you have it until you get tested"

Could you cite where it says tests are 50% accurate? The meme is referencing the incubation time of the coronavirus, which is two weeks. That's what it means you never know you have it until you get tested.

As for telling who died of what and how or why? It's simple, people with COVID show up to the hospital with the same symptoms, those symptoms end up killing them or exacerbating other issues they already have.

For instance, I have high blood pressure and asthma. I have no doubt in my mind that if I caught COVID that I would die from contracting it as with the effects of COVID combined with what I already deal with puts me at higher risk for death.

Similarly, when I get the flu/cold, I also usually get bronchitis - sometimes even pnuemonia because of my asthma. I understand that my issues make me more vulnerable to certain diseases/viruses than others as those defenses are already compromised by other maladies that I suffer.

So, can we say that someone officially died of COVID? Yes. Because if they hadn't contracted COVID they would have continued to go on living their lives as they had been. contracting COVID is the moment their lives were decided.

The Nasal swab test is only 50% accurate ! Numerous sources have stated that , the NFL and NBA have given up on the Nasal swab in favor of a saliva test that isn't perfect either , but they're not getting as many false positive tests . With all the blame being thrown around , the Media could have saved lives by giving us accurate information . I am also in the risk group for various reasons and , like I said , 2 positive tests and zero symptoms .

I ask again, sources?

How about Dr. Fauci on TV just now ? He explained why we get false positive results in the Nasal swab test and when testing surfaces. A dead Corona virus cell reads the same as a live one , which also explains the many asymptomatic cases .
