It's not "specifically geared to one person" - it's typed (A,B,AB,O) and you must be given a type compatible to your blood type.....of a finite, and frankly small, list of types.

True, but still, the first two reasons still apply

1. all donated blood is screened for HIV, Hepatitis, etc. Receiving convalescent blood is the same as getting a blood transfusion.

2. it isn't lab created, it's received from donors and your doctor fills out a form ONLINE to get it. It's more expensive than normal blood bank blood, but you aren't selling your children to get it.
