I appreciate your thinking though; especially the part about the plausibility of the alleged "death bed" quote. Such a quote would totally disparage Ginsburg's reputation via waffling on prior commentary, and therefor, such a deathbed wish would denigrate her entire lifetime's body of work.

She would not do that to herself! I don't agree with her stance on many things, but one thing she was, and that was that she was STEADFAST and articulate about her beliefs throughout her career. She wouldn't destroy her reputation at the last moments of life with such a ludicrous (and UN-documented) statement.

As you said it's too long for many. One friend of mine is always saying how I have too many words in memes and I understand short and sweet is most suitable but sometimes you just have words to write. So I don't let it stop me from doing it even though I know the likely outcome is low views.

We agree that it would be out of character for her to say what her Grand daughter claims, based on her entire known life history. The moment I heard the claimed story I said "doubt that" so I went and refreshed and added to my knowledge of her concluding what I wrote.
It's just sour grapes for them and they definitely would be replacing any vacancy as soon as they could if the shoe were on the other foot.
