I'm a pro minecraft builder and i can give you some tips on house building. Here's a few here:
1. always use Dark Oak planks on the inside of the walls
2. always use the dark oak on the outside of the walls
3. use the dark tinted windows, and make them medium large and symmetrical
4. make the top a little less sloped and a little more flat (trust me it always looks better like that)
5. use campfires and fences as a bridge(put out the fire with water so you can walk through it) or just use planks and fences
good beach house, but you can use these tips to make it better. I have designed houses for other builders for a while, so I have a lot of experience. oh and btw, NEVER use the blocks from the nether update.
