Well after Trump got voted in he stopped them being supported by U.S indirect funding and support. So the arms and monies that the previous administration had been funnelling to them dried up. Further the U.S and its allies in the world then set about destroying their strongholds and an oil refinery which they had taken over which they used to process crude oil and sell to people in nearby countries. So with the oil refinery destroyed and funding and support gone the operation of eradicating them has mostly been a successful enterprise although you can probably say that some of them still exist. They are pretty weak to the point where you would say their strongest sect is in the southern Philippines and they don't go by the name Isis so even if you have heard of their actions in Philippines you probably wouldn't connect them.
Isis and it's predecessors AL Queda and Mujahideen in Afghanistan have all recieved covert funding through CIA and other entities. The War on terror you may have heard of starts off going into Afghanistan to get Osama bin Laden even though he is Saudi. The U.S forces are being directed by intelligence gathered by the CIA and they reckoned that this is where to begin, The reality was another group of islamist's the Taliban were running the country and they had ordered all the opium popies to be removed from the fields. This destruction of these crops is the real reason why the CIA directed the Military into there. So they could get the Taliban out of power and re-establish a major source of black op funding for the CIA by getting the crops back into the ground. Anyways, if you want to really learn why they don't seem to be around this is a starting point but the whole story is very complex and you will need to dig deep to find the reality not the mainstream written history.
I might add that for the most part the Islamic terrorists were never as big a threat as we have been made to believe and unfortunately there is much evidence to suggest that the Government/s have had much to do with allowing terrorist events to happen and have aided many terrorists.
