There’s this movie called the blind side (great movie btw) but in this movie the mom wants to adopt a kid, and she fills it all out and adopts him but realizes the kids mother who is still alive (not doing great) and tells here she adopted the kid and everything will be alright

My take away is that I think u can transfer adoption or smthing
