Thing is: "Vegetable" is not a biological classification at all but a culinary one. So, biologically, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers,... are fruit. But in culinary terms they're still vegetables because the definition never says a vegetable has to be a certain part of a plant - it's more about the use. So, if you wanna call a tomato a fruit, go ahead and do that - if you wanna call a tomato a vegetable, you go do that as well. 😉
