So the entire point here is murdering felons is not supposed to be SOP. The Constitution requires them to have their day in court - alive - so that a fitting punishment that usually is not execution can be fairly administered. Cops do not play that role and the fact that this is SOP is EVERYTHING that people are angry about. That is exactly what they want changed.
