Artificial intelligence isn't necessarily the same thing as artificial consciousness. AI only imitates what we program it to imitate, or answers questions we program it to answer. Now if we program an AI to achieve consciousness, aquire physical power, and take over the world, we are idiots asking for extinction. We could program an AI to solve human problems and maximize human happiness and wellbeing, and try the solutions it comes up with to see if they work.

They have to "know their place," so to speak.

The biggest threat I could see is that they would take over the workforce

ye, all ai "humans" would all be vulcans. They'd just be enslaved & mistreated b/c they don't rlly have emotions. we could make robots 2 do stuff, but they'll nvr rlly have a soul...
can they "replace" humans? no. idek if they'd care 4 humans... they could be like ultron. but they would be at least helpful, as long as ppl don't use them 4 immoral purposes...

A big risk, is that they could be serial killers..

I think that AI can be extremely useful, but we will need to make an emergency turn off button or keep them under constant control, because if we don’t, what is there to stop them from destroying the human race.

Though, if we give AI a technological brain, it would be interesting to try and measure what they’re thinking, or the brain activity to see if it has actual emotions or thoughts. We can never really know if we don’t do that.

I have talked about robot soldiers before and continue to belive that they are an amazing idea.

and what’s the social status, am i allowed to love ai to the point of marriage? or do i surpress that...do i make friends with it? or ignore it, at one point you have to ask if you can really feel any way other then, meh, with a robot, and if they can feel it too
