9/6 Perspective

9/6 Perspective | It may seem a little blunt but facts don't care about our feelings, they are what they are unless further educated research proves that they are something else. There was a meme circulating a while ago that started with the 6 9 perspective thing but then more or less explained my above sentence in further detail.
That said, it would be great if we had more understanding of why people believe what they believe, not just you're wrong therefore you're stupid. They may very well still be wrong in subscribing to their beliefs, doesn't mean they don't have a valid reason for believing it. For instance, when I was in grade 7 we learned about the different continents. My teacher asked the class what countries belong in the Asian continent. I (rather confidently) said Australia 😅, to which the whole class was in uproar like MmM nO!! yOuR a ReTaRd!!!$% 🤣.
Factually yes, I was wrong. But the reason for me believing that was that I'd recently been watching the Asia Pacific wild card play offs for tennis. Me believing Asia was short for Asia Pacific, Australia is situated in the pacific, surely Australia would go with that umbrella of countries. Technically I wasn't wrong, but in the context of what we were learning, I was. | image tagged in black background | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
