But what’s with this culture of users not upvoting anymore ?
I went away for 5 months and realised this new phenomenon in the first few days back.

How did we get into this negative spiralling attitude of everyone calling everyone else upvote beggars ?
When I first joined it was explained to me by the old hands that it was etiquette to leave an upvote if you commented on a meme ( even in a negative way ) and to also upvote comments that are addressed to you.
What’s making people so adverse to clicking the little green arrow button to show a small amount of appreciation to fellow imgflipers ?

Can you fill me in on what’s happened ?

1. I have no idea, people just feel like they dont want to give out upvotes because they are selfish and greedy, or children just do not follow orders

2. I have no idea, i think someone started attacking upvote beggars when one of them got a frontpage meme

3. No idea, people just started becoming point nazis and selfish

I would ask an older user about this, im relativity new because i joined in april, i heard the upvote begger attacking started in late 2018

1. What do you mean people don’t upvote others anymore? I’d like nothing more than to upvote every single meme on the front page (if it’s a good meme). Some memes still get up to 600 upvotes.

2. I don’t call everyone beggars. If I did, that would be jealousy. All the memes I call out have something in common. And don’t think I’m the only one with this mindset.
