Nostalgia

There were plenty of scandals. There was Michelle's sleeveless dress, their name rhymes with "Osama", a photographer once caught Sasha looking distracted for 1/40 second at an official function, there was that meme showing a Columbia University I.D. featuring young Barack Obama under a different name (it was a good effort, but poorly researched. The I.D. shown was dated 1981, but it was a digital type of I.D. which wasn't even used on driver's licenses back then, let alone college I.D.s), there's the charge of BPWB, and who can forget TanSuitGate?

Hey, I didn't create the "Tansuitgate" drama, I just satirized it. Fox news screamed about that suit as if President Obama owned a personal line of clothing which was made in China.

I NEVER said President Obama was perfect, that anyone who doesn't like his policies is racist, or that he was chosen by God to lead. But if you're going to say he's a criminal, look (for starters) to see which President flouted financial divestment regulations, which are there to prevent conflict of interest in the Presidency.

When I made the meme at the top of the page, I was referring to both Presidents in the photograph. I didn't vote for George H.W. Bush. I didn't like his policies, and I wasn't impressed by his performance. But I have never tried to hide my admiration for him personally. I have some friends who don't like that. Most, however, understand the difference between policy and character.
