Well she's just old enough when he goes to be President and they have a lot in common so there's that.
But I think to pick her given the obvious nature of how things will roll with Joe not being there for long it would probably cause civil unrest because the people would realise she was chosen to be a thorn. What with her lack of intelligence, experience and general unlikeability by the wider public it would be anpther puppet just as if Joe had stayed in and clear that others were running the show. I mean is she even literate? I don't think so.
