I do see what you mean, especially from the first article, but those are just sexist jokes from sexist pigs. Usually in the "meme" context, the joke is on the boys, as most Boys vs. Girls memes that I see portray girls as being sensible, loyal, pedantic and sometimes clueless, while the boys side usually has a more careless attitude. Obviously, that doesn't apply to all of them, but I'll safely say the meme itself doesn't promote harmful stereotypes.

As a boy, I actually do agree. The people who still do this crap are stupid r/teenagers or r/dankmemes users who yell out "MINECRAFT BIG CHUNGUS KEEANU REEVESS WHOLESOME 100" over and over again. Even though the ones about sports are actually true
