That's right, antithesis.
Keep drinking the Kool Aid.
And be sure to slap a silly label on it to make yourself good about being brainwashed.

Other examples include "indentured servitude", and "working off a debt".
There's even "you made a mess, so you clean it up".
As long as money isn't exchanged, then the government can't tax it.
Sometimes money is paid "under the table", and tips aren't reported.

Those examples aren't found under the heading of "slavery".
But slavery is found under "Unpaid Labor".

The problem is, whenever you mention something like "Community service" to pay for a crime, someone wants to make the comparison, saying
"What crime did slaves commit?"
They didn't. And I'm happy to acknowledge that.
But it's stupid to try to compare them to each other, because they are not the same sub-topic.
Yet they still fall under the main topic of "unpaid labor".
Whether or not it was a punishment only applies to the sub-topic; not the main topic.
When I started my architecture business, I needed computer software, so I made a deal with a contractor, and would design three houses for him in exchange for him buying the software I needed.
That wasn't a punishment like "community service", nor was it a type of slavery.
It was Barter & Trade, which is a sub-topic of Unpaid Labor.
