Maybe they were just sirens passing by far away. I live in the countryside, and sometimes, we have ambulances or police cars pass by.
TRUE STORY:
WHILE I WAS SLEEPING, I HEARD SIRENS. I WOKE UP AND LOOKED AT MY WINDOW AND NO AMBULANCE WAS THERE. I CHECKED EVERY WINDOW. NO AMBULANCE. THEN WHEN I LOOKED BACK AT THE WINDOW I FIRST CHECKED, IT LOOKED LIKE THERE WAS A BIG FIGURE AS TALL AS THE TREES. NOW IM SCARED TO SLEEP
