No one is advocating for no funding at all. People are advocating for spending cuts my dude. The bill was literally a measly 10% cut to a military that has a budget larger than the next 11 countries combined, many of which are our allies. This should have been a no brainer.

1. In 2019, the US spent 3.4% of its GDP on the military. So we can still cut it within NATO rules.

2. Who says the NATO rules can’t be amended?

The dept of defense can request a budget or monetary amount needed to fund paying troops, military exercises and equipment replacement costs. Then both parties debate and agree on a number. Pass the amount as a law. Which is reviewed and signed by the president.

Congress should agree to lower the budget.
