Funny story...my brother has a cat he calls "Reef". This cat was found in my parents' garage on one of the coldest nights of the year a few years ago...i.e. below zero temperatures. Anyhow, she was found with an empty refried beans can stuck around her head/neck! That is why she is called "Reef". She's pretty wild, but she's still a nice cat.

Yes, the rescue was the right thing to do. Poor kitty was starving to death in the cold. Very sad that there are a lot of animals this happens to every winter. People need to be more responsible with their pets.
