That's where you're wrong, sandwiches are made with 2 pieces of bread, hot dogs only have 1, and there are no fillings, only toppings.

A sandwich requires 2 separate pieces, a hot dog bun is not 2 pieces connected together, they are the same piece of bread just, they have just been cut down the middle.

But the hot dog is "SANDWICHED" in between bread lol

its not though, sandwiched is where something is between 2 objects, a hot dog only has 1 piece of bread.
