For me it's the final boss in a game called Moonlighter. The reason why is because of the circumstance, the main character is a guy who goes into 4 different dungeons that lead to other dimensions and he sells the things from the dungeons to run his shop. But he also has a different reason for going into the dungeons, there is a 5th door that leads to a place unknown and he wants to be the first to go in it so he goes through all the dungeons to get the keys to open the door.

Behind the door is a long dead group of inter-dimensional pirates who made the dungeons in order to steal the resources from those dimensions , after a while they get chased down so they lock themselves in the 5th door to wait out the heat but the pirate who was supposed to reopen the door from the outside gets killed leaving the pirates trapped inside the 5th door. Soon they all go mad after they run out of food and kill each other and the only one left is thier captain who goes insane from the isolation. Soon the protagonist open the city door and finds everyone dead and then he confronts the captain and they fight. After the fight the captain thanks will.
