Good times of my youth right there. One of my first jobs at about 16 was downtown as a coat check boy at Le Méridien hotel, when it was owned by Air France. I remember WBZ news anchor Jack Williams tipsy picking up his coat, a good tipper. Food in the employee cafeteria was great, the extra leftover desserts and whatnot from the high end hotel restaurant.
I used to take my coat check tips to the Union Oyster House down the street, get draft beer and the low budget cherrystones on the halfshell. They never carded me once.
I was too young to have an educated opinion about Mike first time he was Governor, I liked him the second time around, most of which was when I was in college. I ran into Mike later around 2000 at Northeastern U. when he was a Professor there. We had a nice chat about the Acela.
