I can't say as I've been surprised by the religious exemptions carved out of ACA, school funding, and discrimination laws - historically our judiciary has placed religious organizations on a pedestal.

As with all things, we have checks and balances though - legislators in Montana did away with tuition aid entirely, and employers being able to decide what birth control their employees have access to will only drive support for universal healthcare detached entirely from employment higher than it already is.

i doubt that this will change minds on universal healthcare.

The second part of that isn't a ruling against, but rather sending the Congressional subpoena cases back to the lower courts which can no longer entertain or accommodate the President's arguments of absolute immunity.

It's possible that case will end up in SCOTUS again, but it's not likely the House would choose to impeach him a second time (or that the Senate GOP would do their jobs if they did) before the election.

Actually the NY prosecutor isn’t expected to get the returns any time soon either:
